Recipe Binder + Go-To Dinners

Happy New Year! Whether you’re a resolutions person or not, I feel like many of us have a goal to cook at home more, wouldn’t you say? I’ve always loved cooking but sometimes I struggle coming up with what to make for dinner each night and I’ve talked to lots of friends who feel the same.

I’m a recipe gal. I love to follow a recipe (although it’s always a goal of mine to be more creative and be OK with straying from a recipe lol). But I do not like following a recipe on my phone or computer. I need it to either be in a cookbook or printed out. So years ago I started a recipe binder— inspired by my mom. My mom has an impressive shelf full of cookbook binders categorized by different cuisines and recipes she wants to try. I just have my one binder that holds all my tried and true favorites, categorized by categories.

I have a section for our favorite go-tos, breakfasts, appetizers/sizes, dinners, desserts. Each week when I make my meal plan, I take a look at my binder for some ideas. And I also refer to Pinterest, saved recipes from Instagram. If it’s not already printed, I print out the recipe so that it will be ready to go later in the week. If we like the recipe, it makes it in the binder!

I recently upgraded my binder to the CUTEST linen binder from target with tabs that I’m in love with. You’ll find all the links if you click the image below!
