June Happenings + Goals

June is here which means it’s officially summer! (at least according to next week’s forecast, sos). On the farm, lisianthus are flushing like crazy and Grant’s doing his best to protect his dahlias from the lovely pests Texas has to offer. This month we have our last wedding for the summer and before my maternity leave. The timing of my maternity leave worked out so well because I already take July and August off every year (b/c Texas heat) so this year is no different other than I’ll have a little baby hanging with me inside the a/c. Grant will continue the flower hustle throughout the summer so rest assured, we’ll still be slinging flowers throughout the summer in some capacity.

I know for many, summer brings about new rhythms and schedules, so if you haven’t taken the time to pause and reflect on a new month and what that could mean for you, I encourage you to take the time to do it! Here are some of my goals/things I’m excited about/my focus for June—

THINGS I’M LOOKING FORWARD

— my bestie + parents coming in town this weekend

— our couple’s baby shower!

— our last wedding of the season, it’s going to be so beautiful!

— Grant’s brother gets married!

— river time + finding some pools to relax in!

— getting to see our friend’s newborn babies!!

THINGS I WANT TO ACCOMPLISH

— a couple different projects in the nursery (time’s tickin!)

— checking off things on my baby to-do list

— finish my accounting for the first quarter + catch up on May

— establishing a good morning routine

— write regularly and more blog content

THINGS I WANT TO FOCUS ON

— preparing for baby JB’s arrival!

— simplifying our home, schedule and spending habits

— spending time with Jesus to start my day

— praying as a couple at the end of each day

— budgeting for our family!

— breaking my phone addiction (will be a work in progress for sure)

(so many of these are the same each month, but it helps me to refocus at the beginning of the month on what matters to me!)

Wow I’m excited about June, so many good things happening. And who knows, if Baby Wink comes early, this could be baby month?? I’m really hoping for a 4th of July baby though, hehe we’ll see!! I hope you have a wonderful June!
